This brand new, open air restaurant is located directly on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and is the place to be all year long! The Surf Hut has a menu that goes far beyond your typical 'beach fare' and adds a little surfer flare to a cuisine that includes Seafood, Oysters and St. Louis Style BBQ! Kids meals are served in a take home souvenir frisbees and we've got a custom game area on the beach where you can grab a game of corn hole while you watch the waves and sip a delicious signature frozen libation from our full bar! Whether you're looking for a place for lunch while you're enjoying the beach, a local spot to get fresh from the Gulf seafood, date night or a family friendly place to bring the kids, The Surf Hut has got something for everyone! The food and atmosphere were great, but I was unhappy with the lack of precautions taken. Our server was not wearing a mask or gloves and did not stay a reasonable distance while at our table. None of the servers were wearing masks or gloves. Busboys wiped down tables with rags obviously used on other tables. I did not see disinfectant spray being used. Iâ€™ve seen other restaurants do a much better job during this Covid period of time. I hope Surf Hut makes adjustments. Itâ€™s a great place!

Visited on Valentine's Day as we were passing through the area. The food was delicious. There was a bit of a wait for a table but you can wait outside by the water which is what being at the beach is all about. I ordered the BBQ burger which is basically a burger and a pulled pork sandwich in one. It was AMAZING. Hubs had the fish and chips and it didn't disappoint. Drinks are a little pricey but the food is reasonable, especially during the lunch special period of 11 - 3. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for good food on the beach.

Amazing views which will cost you dearly. If you want fresh, never frozen seafood, or cooked to order $16 burgers this isn't your place. Service was very good, but food was very basic for the price. No value here.
